Veronica Peña, LPC, NCC

Meet Veronica

I deeply value my role as a therapist - to provide a comfortable and safe environment for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.  Through play and connection, I teach children more helpful behaviors, emotional self-regulation, how to cope with difficult experiences and emotions, and increase their self-awareness. I enjoy working collaboratively with parents to reach their goals and increase family cohesion.  Most importantly, I value building an understanding, accepting, and genuine therapeutic relationship with clients and parents as I believe it is what will allow for the true expression of self while promoting healing and meaningful change. I cherish diversity and working with families from all backgrounds. I understand that attending therapy can be intimidating, but given a chance, it offers children, parents, and families the opportunity to cope with past, present, and future problems.

"It's not about getting the feeling out of the mind, or hiding it, but about experiencing it with acceptance."

- Carl Rogers
