Services for Children

+ Child Individual Therapy - Ages 3-10

Sometimes when children are trying to express themselves, they do so with inappropriate behavior, high emotionality, or by becoming anxious or withdrawn. When I work with young children, I work with them on their level - using neuroscience to utilize the language of metaphor and play. I use evidence-based interventions to work with your child to use their emotional language, expand their self-control, and utilize their coping skills in order to help them better manage their feelings and behavior.

These sessions are typically 40-50 minutes, depending on the child's age.

Every few sessions, I request a parent or guardian meeting with me in person or by phone to discuss the child's progress. This is important so that parents can remain an active collaborator on their child's progress, and so that I can help parents to understand the science behind their child's behavior, learn to how incorporate what was done in session at home, and to give parents an opportunity to report on their child's behavior witnessed at home or school.
